As a Refrigeration Operator, you will perform preventative and predictive maintenance on various types of ammonia refrigeration equipment. Additionally, the Refrigeration Operator will adhere to the design specifications of the refrigeration systems through periodic testing and inspections.

Oversees sanitation employees to ensure pest control and sanitation are at standards required of Orion.
Essential Functions
· Confers with VP of Manufacturing and other personnel on sanitation problems. Recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of products.
· Compiles reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations and steps taken to resolve deficiencies. Routes reports to appropriate personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Service industrial refrigeration systems, process chillers, HVAC systems, and heat transfer systems locally and some out of town.
• Test process chillers and heat transfer systems in shop.
• Start up process chillers; refrigeration systems, and heat transfer systems throughout the country.
• Primary on call service technician after hours and weekends, rotation with Service Crew.
• Back up when available.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.
