Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Plant Operations Engineer is to manage the Westward Seafoods Engineering Department including, but not limited to the Powerhouse, Refrigeration and Meal Plant departments. This position will also assist with plant maintenance and building maintenance along with assisting the electrical, auto, machine shop, and shipping/receiving departments. This position may require filling in for the Assistant Chief Engineer when they are not available.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE
Refrigeration Operator-The primary job responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, maintaining proper operation, maintenance and repair of the equipment and machinery related to the refrigeration systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Position: Ensure proper operation, maintenance and repair of all aspects of the ammonia system except for major repairs and renovations. Maintain operational parameters and control operating costs. Exhibit general maintenance knowledge and provide service to all aspects of the facility and coordinate with management on the safety of all associates and the community in the event of an emergency involving federal regulated processes.
