To provide safe, reliable and cost efficient vehicles by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs as well as performing expert diagnosis and repair as required to prevent breakdowns on road, reduce vehicle down time and improve total fleet reliability.

• Provides delivery of material to customer sites or other branch locations.
Summary: Drives a tractor with one or more trailers (18-wheel) on public streets or highways to transport materials and merchandise. May load or unload truck using Moffett and Skytrak equipment. Drivers are responsible for securing the load using approved devices and methods. Requires a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).

To assist Fleet Technicians in providing safe, reliable and cost-efficient vehicles by learning to perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs as well as learning to perform diagnosis and repair as required to prevent breakdowns on road, reduce vehicle downtime and improve total fleet reliability.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the safe transportation of employees to and from the plant and housing, hauling 40’ Freezer vans of product to city facility, hauling 40’ water tanker, and scheduled removal of garbage to city dump facility.
JOB DURATION: Seasonal, April 2018 thru August 2018. There may be opportunities to continue work at other Icicle locations throughout the year.
REPORTS TO: This position reports directly to the Asst. Plant Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
Class-B CDL ( Class-A CDL preferred )
Class-B shift starts at 4:00 pm onwards
Class-A shift starts at 5:00 am onwards
Hazardous Materials and Tanker Endorsements
Ability to drive Automatic, 6-Speed, and 10-Speed Transmissions
MUST be Insurable ( NO Alcohol or Drug Convictions / Terminations )
Knowledge of the Mpls./St.Paul Metro area
MUST have a GREAT Work Ethic
