Truck Driver at Whitehall, PA

ABOUT THE ROLE

PURPOSE Ensures the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of materials to proper job site. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

● KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

● Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

● Responsible for pick-up and delivery of material in a safe and timely manner.

● Communicate truck/job status.

● Maintains appearance of truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil, hydraulic coolant and fuel.

● Performs minor repairs to truck as needed.

● Maintains load in transit to job site.

● Keeps accurate DOT logs and load sheets

● Performs pre-and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation of truck.

● Additional task as assigned and trained at job site including housekeeping.

● Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 Required Education: High School diploma/GED

 Required Work Experience: 3-5 years’ experience preferred

 Required Training/Certifications: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

 Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic Computer experience  Additional Requirements:

 Excellent driving record  Must pass DOT drug screen and obtain and retain DOT physical card

 Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); ability to express written and verbal information in a clear, concise, well-organized manner

 Ability to plan and organize work

 Able to initiate action to achieve goals beyond what is required

 Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to change

 Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team environment
