Job Summary:
Kemper Northwest is a specialty refrigeration contracting company which is currently looking for a journeyman service technician to put on call rotation for its Kennewick, WA office. This individual will perform maintenance on refrigeration systems for food processing plants.
Responsibilities:
-Ability to write and follow SOP’s for system pump down procedures, including LOTO
-Be self-sufficient in meeting all field safety requirements and Plant GMP requirements
-Perform general maintenance to refrigeration systems, including addition and draining of oil at collection points, general maintenance of compressors
-Perform refrigeration system commissioning
-Perform complete tear down of compressor packages
-Remove/install compressors safely
-Perform trouble shooting on refrigeration system electrical
-Charge systems with refrigerant
-Perform coupler alignments
-Perform small valve change-outs
Job Requirements:
-Must be able to recognize hazards on the job site
-Must be able to understand a customer’s refrigeration system quickly, and determine a course of action
-Must be able to demonstrate excellent job performance, job profitability, quality, safety, and customer service
-Strong desire to learn and ability to receive and follow instructions
-Must continue to meet company goals
-Must take initiative to self-improve
-Dependability and flexibility a must
-Willingness to work overtime
Qualifications:
-7-10 years of industrial refrigeration experience
-Must have or working toward CIRO certification through RETA
-Knowledge of process safety management
-Must maintain a clean driving record
