The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties. They’re required to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety procedures. The maintenance technician needs to be able to work with predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
➢ Essential Functions

1. Good Attendance is required.
2. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
3. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled repairs of production equipment during machine service.
4. Perform simple machinist duties.
5. Perform skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
6. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
7. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
8. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
9. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
10. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
11. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
12. Good communications skills required.
13. Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
14. Must be a self starter.
15. Ability to work with little or no supervision.
16. Must be fluent in English.
17. Ability to weld a plus.
18. Ability to work in hot and cold environment.

➢ Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee is also exposed to varying temperatures throughout the plant.

➢ Required Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills.
3. Maintenance experience a plus.
