CDL A Driver at Orlando, FL

Job Description

Picks up, transports, and delivers freight in the local area by driving tractor-trailer combinations. May support Linehaul and warehouse operations to include overnight driving, loading and unloading freight, and any other duties as assigned by management.

Skills

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in the English language and perform simple mathematical calculations with the mental ability to handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and maintain logs.
• Must have detailed knowledge of and comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to, those governing safe driving, hours of service, inspections, and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass alcohol and drug tests.
• Ability to adhere to the Company’s uniform policy.
• Ability to be subject to irregular work schedules, long trips as needed, short notice for assignment of trip, tight delivery schedules, delays on trip, and other stress and fatigue related to driving a truck on crowded streets and highways in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 6 months driving experience
• A High School Diploma or GED is required
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailer endorsements
