Job Overview

Perform highly diversified routine duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and lead maintenance of process units to support the achievement of the company's business goals and objectives.

Key Duties

▪ Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance: Independently troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

▪ Emergency Repairs: Lead urgent equipment repairs during production to ensure continuous operation.

▪ Diagnostics and Adjustments: Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

Inventory and Vendor Management: Schedule services, manage spare parts inventory, obtain vendor quotes, and prepare purchase requisitions.

▪ Work Management: Track and manage work requests and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring timely service.

▪ Team Leadership: Assign tasks to mechanics and technicians, and lead process development projects.

▪ Preventive Maintenance: Lead and schedule regular maintenance of machinery and plant facilities.

▪ Quality Control: Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations.

▪ Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.

▪ Machining and Welding: Operate welders, lathes, milling machines, and electronic monitoring equipment.

▪ Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor new mechanics, fostering skill development and career growth.

▪ System Maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic, ammonia refrigeration, and electrical systems, including air compressors and boilers.

▪ Documentation and Compliance: Prepare operational documents, support audits, and assist with ISO compliance.

▪ Facility Maintenance: Perform general facility duties as required.

▪ Additional Duties: Undertake other projects and tasks as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

▪ Electrical, instrumentation, electronics, and mechanical background.

▪ Knowledge of mechanical and equipment maintenance techniques, practices, and computerized preventive maintenance programs.

▪ Ability to speak, read, and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.

▪ 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in mechanical maintenance.

▪ LME (Licensed Mechanical Electrician) license preferred.

▪ Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

▪ RETA (Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association) certificate preferred.

Education Requirements High school education or GED required.

Physical Requirements

Require push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

The job may require extended hours, and workers are exposed to safety hazards, hazardous chemicals, production machinery, high noise levels, and constant standing on concrete surfaces.

The position is required to be on-call status.
