Refrigeration Technician at Millsboro, DE

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Maintains ammonia cooling systems by creating and completing checklists, ensuring the cleanliness and safety compliance of the machines, performing proactive maintenance, working closely with mechanics, and keeping supervisors informed of system issues.

·         Proactively seeks methods of improving systems by communicating with other system technicians within and outside the company.

 Qualification Requirements

·         High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

·         A minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or equivalent training.

·         Must be able to work on refrigeration equipment; screw compressors, ammonia pumps, Hansen level controls, hot gas valve stations, IQF systems, ammonia detector calibrations. • RETA certification is required.

·         24 hours hazmat training is a plus.

·         Electrical motor control or PLC knowledge is highly desired.

·         Experience with PSM/RMP/CalARP programs is a big plus.

·         Candidate needs to have good computer skills and knowledge of Word & Excel.

·         Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.

·         Must be able to handle multiple, conflicting priorities. Must be able to follow directions from a supervisor. Must be able to interact with coworkers. Must be able to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures. Must be able to accept constructive criticism.

·         The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. • The noise level in the work environment is often noisy.

·         Candidate must own hand tools.
