The primary job responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, maintaining proper operation, maintenance and repair of the equipment and machinery related to the refrigeration systems. Specific duties include operation, repair and maintenance of the 3,700 hp ammonia refrigeration system, training and support of refrigeration employees, assists in hiring of staff, works closely with HR in counseling and documentation of discipline of staff, trains and enforces all company, State and Federal safety rules and operation regulations, and works closely with other department supervisors and managers to ensure plant is operational for production. Assists in maintaining PSM and RMP programs and works with consultants and Safety department when needed. Other duties as assigned. This position reports directly to the Refrigeration Engineer with overall Supervision by the Plant Operations Engineer.

WAGE: DOE - STATUS: Non-Exempt Regular - Housing, Meals, Transportation to/from Point of Hire. Transportation Benefit, Medical Insurance and 401(k) upon eligibility WSI has a zero tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy

Requirements Qualified applicants must successfully pass a post-offer conditional Drug Screen. Must be able to read, write and speak English, and have the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. The ideal applicant should have 3 to 5 years of verifiable ammonia refrigeration experience, knowledge in the maintenance and repair of a 3,700 hp ammonia refrigeration system, understanding of all aspects of PSM and RMP programs, knowledge of electrical control circuits, purgers, plate and frame heat exchangers, blast cell and plate freezers, brine tanks, box chillers, and ice machines and ice delivery systems. RETA CIRO license strongly preferred or have the ability to obtain within a short time following hiring. Must possess the ability to stay alert and aware in their surroundings, and willingness to ensure that safety of WSI employees is a top priority. Must have the ability to recognize, correct and report safety hazards. Must be willing to live and work in a multi-cultural environment.
