Quality Assurance Supervisor at Amarillo, TX

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department for an assigned shift. They will provide daily support to the quality department, production, maintenance and sanitation. They are to ensure that all regulatory and customer needs are met.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Participates in the selection and training of quality assurance staff.
• Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department as assigned.
• Participates in the performance evaluation process providing constructive feedback.
• Participates in the discipline process when necessary.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervises processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for food safety and quality
• Assist with USDA requests and meetings as needed
• Enforces quality standards and parameters for products.
• Enforces regulatory standards to ensure products maintain identity and food safety requirements.
• Communicates adherence or issues with food safety and quality standards to QA, production, sanitation and maintenance teams
• Assist with product testing and management of the processing lines as needed
• Identifies and participates in the analysis of issues, to determine root cause. Will participate in continuous improvement projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned
