Project Manager - Engineering
The position will work closely and support our Engineer in various aspects of equipment needs, selection, installation, repair, and develop preventative maintenance schedules. Employee must be knowledgeable and familiar with documentation, procedures and records.
Responsibilities:
Work with Engineer to coordinate construction on various projects including: obtaining bids, selection of contractors and building materials, monitor progress, and provide updates as needed.
Help us select which equipment is best for our needs and purchase.
Contract administration and cost containment are essential.
Assist Plant Maintenance Managers with technical guidance.
Work with management team to address potential bottlenecks in Operations and successfully engineer a solution.
Use Manager’s Plus software ensure PM’s are being adhered to.
Maintain and update all CAD drawings for each plant and maintain for USDA purposes.
Provide assistance with data collection and tabulation for determining project ROI’s.
Learn how the different plants operate and what is required to meet various deadlines.
Work to grow a knowledge basis which includes refrigeration, piping, structural, steam, electrical, mechanical systems, controls, and many other trades.
Research and provide guidance on various opportunities for automation and ergonomic design to obtain maximum operating efficiencies, automated packers on graders, robot for palletizing, etc.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in project management/engineering required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license to drive to plant locations.
