POSITION SUMMARY
It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Worker to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues for various manufacturing machinery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Monitors the preventative and corrective maintenance needs of various equipment types
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Completes all work orders including preventive maintenance work
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
• Repairs and replaces wiring, equipment and fixtures using various hand and power tools
• Performs troubleshooting on down equipment and maximize run time
• Communicates with the Maintenance Team Members, Maintenance Supervisor and/or Corporate Engineer to troubleshoot more complex issues and make recommendations for improvement
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF) policies and maintain superior plant cleanliness
• Adheres to all safety practices including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Follows all established company policies and practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will work in a mostly indoor manufacturing environment and occasionally in an outdoor environment in varying temperature levels.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud, however louder noise levels may be experienced in when production is occurring or when maintenance work is being performed. Environmental conditions include exposure to elevated surfaces, vibration, moving objects, noise, slippery floors, electrical hazards, heat, and mechanical hazards.
