Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
3+ years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility; food industry preferred.
Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended hours.
Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.
Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems, processing equipment, packing equipment, washing equipment, labeling equipment, HDPE bottle production equipment and utilities.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Set up and assist in operator startup for production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
Follow all company GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all safety regulatory requirements.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Work overtime as assigned.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
