Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector or the Repair Station Manager;

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various makes and models of general aviation aircraft.
  • Perform 100hr and annual inspections. Inspectors are responsible for the research of airworthiness directives and service bulletins to determine applicability to the aircraft or components.
  • Complete all work and required sign-offs in accordance with applicable FAA regulations.
  • Release aircraft back to service after maintenance or inspections
  • Identify and report any unusual malfunctions to Chief Inspector
  • Properly perform all assigned inspections and document findings on the required forms used by the repair station.
  • Determine air worthiness of aircraft and articles by the use of visual inspections and using appropriate means such as mechanical or visual inspection aids.
  • Understand the methods, techniques, and equipment used to determine the airworthiness of the aircraft or article being inspected or repaired.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School or Equivalent
  • Must have FAA A&P License
  • Valid Driver License with good driving record
  • Two years plus experience in general aviation
